I had a very positive experience. The staff and Drs. were fantastic. I would 100% recommend the institute. 10 stars plus for me. And a special thanks to Dr.Baig.
From beginning to end, all staff very professional and efficient. It ran like a Swiss watch. Communication very clear about what was happening and why and how. Great experience
Had both eyes done 5 week ago (cataracts eye surgery).I chose the laser removal --a bit costly, but why take chances when you have a better choise. As of writing this review, all went well and I'm quite happy how I was treated.Doctor Herzig and his entire staff were friendly and courteous.I certainly would recommend Herzig Eye Institute.Richard.
I highly recommend Dr. Eubanks and his team for laser eye surgery. I did multiple consultations for Lasik and PRK, but Herzig was the only place that did a lot of tests and I was able to talk to the opthalmologist with all my questions directly.I am a 4 hour drive from Toronto and they were able to schedule a consultation last minute. The appointment took about 2hrs - the technician ran multiple machine tests (measurements, eye pressure, etc), Dr. Eubanks did the eye exam and explained the results of the measurements and recommendations, and Shirley was the consultant that took the time to explain pricing and the procedure day as well as any inquiries through email. They weren't pushy, so I didn't feel obligated to book or pay anything. I was able to secure a surgery date, but they gave me a few days to think about it before putting down a deposit.I did not have a support person on surgery day, but they made sure I was comfortable. I was given a bag full of the necessities for after surgery which included steroids, antibiotics, lubricating drops, pain killers, eye shields, and sunglasses. The whole procedure took about 10-15 min, and I was able to see somewhat clear (at least much better than before). The front desk was able to schedule an Uber for me, and took me down to locate my Uber.I'm over 1 month post-op after getting PRK and it's been life changing. However, don't be deceived that you'll be able to see right away. What I'm about to explain is all normal! I was in pain from day 1 to day 2. It felt like shampoo in my eyes as the epithelium layer is trying to heal. During day 3, the pain was gone and I was able to see pretty clear. When they took my contact bandage out on day 5, my vision became blurry. I was in panic thinking I made a mistake as I couldn't even drive, but I read it was normal. It was slowly getting clearer everyday and I was able to drive with clear vision on day 14.Now I'm currently measuring 20/20 on both eyes. With PRK, it's a marathon and not a sprint. Results take a long time (it gets better, and regresses, then gets better, etc). I'm only one month post-op and already seeing great results, but it should take at least 6 months for full results. My only regret was not doing it sooner!
