I had an extremely favorable experience at Herzig Ottawa for cataract surgery. Staff are exemplary and Dr. Baig did an excellent job perfecting my vision. I experienced no pain and no after-surgery complications. Highly recommended!

As someone who has struggled with a deep-seated fear of anything involving eyes, the thought of laser eye surgery was absolutely terrifying. But from the very first consultation at Herzig Eye Institute, my fears began to ease. The entire team, from reception to the surgical staff, was incredibly compassionate, patient, and professional. They took the time to explain everything in detail, answer every question (even the repeated ones), and never once made me feel rushed or dismissed.Pre-surgery, I was guided through a very thorough and comforting process. The staff ensured I knew what to expect at every stage and helped me feel in control. They even had small techniques to help calm my nerves something I never thought possible when dealing with my eye phobia.During the procedure, I was stunned by how smooth and painless it was. The surgeon and nurses constantly communicated with me, letting me know what was happening step-by-step, which was crucial for calming my anxiety. It was over before I even had a chance to panic.Post-surgery care was just as impressive. The follow-ups were timely, attentive, and personalized. I felt like I was being treated as a human being, not just another patient on a schedule. Any small concern I had was taken seriously, and the team was always available to support my recovery.The very next day, I woke up and saw the world without glasses and it was surreal and still feels surreal. If youre someone with eye phobia whos been hesitant to explore laser eye surgery, I cannot recommend Herzig Eye Institute enough. Their level of care, precision, and empathy was truly top-notch, and they helped me face one of my biggest fears with life-changing results.

I am a US citizen with hyperopia and astigmatism. I came here for ICL surgery and had Dr Modabber as my surgeon. The surgery was easy and I didn't have any complications. Recovery was almost immediate seeing 20/15 after 1 day which is better than I was seeing with glasses. I am now 1 week post op still without any complications. It took roughly 2 months to get approval for my toric ICL lens from Health Canada but it was well worth the wait. Rachel was also very kind and answered all of my many questions. Thanks again to Dr Modabber, Rachel and the rest of the team for everything! I couldnt have asked for anything more.

Awesome surgeons and optometrists. Front desk service lacks quality. They could use more training to fix up their attitudes.
