It’s DECEMBER. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as the song says. It’s the time we focus on what matters most in our lives; the people and experiences we value. What we value is revealed most profoundly in the choices we make; where we spend our time and money, who we spend our time with, and for what reasons. Each of us may differ regarding what we treasure most, be it family, friends, health, prized possessions, and experiences, but we all have a way of distinguishing what we consider worthy of investment of our time, money, and resources. We call these, our “valuables.” Next to quality relationships with friends and family, having good health, especially good vision, likely find themselves at the top of our lists.
Twenty years ago, my partner, Dr. Sheldon Herzig and I joined forces to establish the Herzig Eye Institute. Our vision is to make people’s lives better by helping them see their very best. This vision drives and informs all of our decisions: who we hire, what surgeons we associate with, what technology we utilize, and most importantly, how we cultivate a positive experience for every patient. We set out to differentiate ourselves by focusing on providing personalized, competent and compassionate care. We treat people the way we want to be treated. We never cut corners or skimp on service.
You see, at Herzig Eye Institute we believe that treating your precious vision is a sacred responsibility and one that requires us to relentlessly pursue an unsurpassed standard of quality in visual outcomes and patient service. This starts with listening to YOU, the patient. YOU are the one who is frustrated and has lost quality of life because of your bad vision. YOU are seeking relief from this frustration and looking for someone who cares, someone you can trust to give you the truth about what can be done to restore your vision.
Perhaps the surgeon will recommend LASIK or SMILE or maybe a Refractive Lens exchange, or an ICL. Perhaps you have a cataract that needs to be removed. Or, perhaps you are like every other person over 40 who has lost reading vision and just wants to read without reading glasses.
In a world that is fast commoditizing just about everything, remember this:
YOUR EYES ARE PRICELESS and deserve the best care possible.
Your eyes are NOT a commodity. They are your “valuables”. Dr. Herzig and I, along with our staff at the Herzig Eye Institute would welcome the opportunity to help you achieve your very best possible vision.
