A pioneer in cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Herzig has consistently driven technological progress in the field. His pursuit of excellence has led to the early adoption of cutting-edge procedures such as ZEISS ReLEx SMILE and the advancement of refractive cataract surgery, ensuring patients benefit from the most sophisticated techniques available.
This spirit of continuous improvement has positioned Herzig Eye Institute among North America’s most technologically advanced refractive surgery centres.
In 2019, Herzig Eye Institute expanded into eastern Ontario, opening a state-of-the-art 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Ottawa. This milestone introduced a new team of experts, including Ottawa’s Medical Director, Dr. Kashif Baig, further extending our commitment to excellence and patient-centred care.Â
