Once the doctor has recommended a personalized procedure, you will meet with a refractive consultant to discuss surgery plans.

SMILE/SMILE Pro
Laser Vision Correction
SMILE/SMILEpro (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) is a minimally invasive procedure for correcting myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. SMILE/SMILE Pro is minimally invasive compared to Custom LASIK and Custom PRK, as it is a flapless and painless procedure. The procedure involves creating a small incision in the cornea to remove a small tissue lenticule resulting in potentially quicker recovery and fewer complications.
LASIK
Laser Vision Correction
LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a procedure for correcting myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. It is a delicate procedure where a flap is created, and the cornea is reshaped. The flap is then put back into place and begins healing, which allows for a predictable healing response. Vision stabilizes rapidly and patients can expect little or no discomfort following LASIK.
PRK
Laser Vision Correction
PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) is a procedure performed to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism, suitable for patients with thin corneas, or when it is deemed the safest option. Rather than creating a flap or incision, the outermost layer of corneal tissue is removed so the cornea can be reshaped to correct vision.
Intraocular Collamer Lens (EVO ICL)
Lens-Based Vision Correction
Intraocular Collamer Lens (EVO ICL) is a procedure performed to correct high degrees of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. Unlike laser-based vision correction, the EVO ICL procedure does not involve re-shaping the cornea. The EVO ICL is made of a soft biocompatible material which is placed inside the eye just behind the iris and in front of the natural lens.
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a procedure that can be used to correct presbyopia (loss of reading vision), myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), or astigmatism. This procedure is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contacts for patients entering middle age.
Corneal Cross-Linking / Keratoconus
Vision Correction
Corneal Cross-lining aims at halting the progression of keratoconus, a condition where the cornea weakens and thins, leading to a cone-like bulge. Corneal cross-linking aids in preventing further deterioration of vision and can negate the need for more invasive interventions like corneal transplantation.
Cataract Surgery
Traditional and Refractive Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery involves removing the eye’s natural lens which becomes cloudy as we age, and replacing it with an intraocular lens (IOL). In traditional cataract surgery, a standard monofocal IOL is implanted, providing clear vision at one distance. Refractive cataract surgery, on the other hand, involves the use of advanced diagnostic technologies and IOLs, such as multifocal or toric IOLs, to help reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after surgery.
