The experience is stellar from the moment you walk into the door for your first check in appointment. The staff and doctors are knowledgable, caring, and not pushy at all. For the surgery itself - given the fact that they will laser a flap in your cornea, lift it up, laser punch your lenses into perfect vision - was painless. The doctors were wonderful about explaining each step. It's a short, sweet procedure. Be ready for some discomfort - or in my case, bloody awful pain, but Herzig arms you with a plethora of drops and medication to help. By the next day, you will be smiling and it will all be worth it.Herzig is expensive... But it's your eyes - and the value is well worth the money. The care you get is impeccable. Ps they have cookies.

Dr. Helen Brandenborg is so caring and empathetic with her patients. I was actually surprised when she apologized profusely for being a little late with my appointment, but I soon found out first hand why that happened. No question is too trivial and the answers that are provided are well thought out and provided in layman's terms. When you walk out of the appointment, you feel that she has provided all the information you require in order to assist you with your specific issues. When we speak about physicians and refer to "bedside manner", Dr. Brandenborg could be the poster woman for that saying. I would recommend her to anyone with dry eye issues.....which is her specialty.
